Yesterday at work, I whiled away quite a few hours looking at different WordPress themes. I’ve been really taken by the NYC Streets Rennaisance site “Streetsblog”, so I was looking for something that had color tones and layouts similar to that site.
Here are a few WordPress templates I thought were appropriate:
- WP INSPIRAT
- Seashore 1.0
- PGREEN 1.0
- Buggy Theme 1.0
- LIGHT CMS 1.2
- DRIKATRUU JELLY 1.1W
This next option is a more elaborate WordPress “theme”. It is more like a web-site template Рit is a Content Management System style site, that focuses on static page management. I liked how modifiable it was (like other CMS systems) but how it remained WordPress (so we don’t have to learn something totally out of the ordinary to manage it).
[UPDATE on 8/22/07 at 9:51 a.m.: The WordPress theme site has gone crazy - I cannot access any of the themes I’ve linked to. I’m sorry for wasting your time - everything was working fine last night! WTF internet?]
[UPDATE on 8/22/07 at 12:01 p.m.: I've reinstalled the WordPress blog software after completely destroying the site by bumbling around in the "dashboard".]
