Frogtown Artwalk and Midnightridazz Pre-Party

This Saturday, August 25, 2007, after Bike Oven X.X. closes shop, a crew of cyclists are going to leave the Bike Oven, at around 5:30 p.m., and head towards photographer Paul Redmond’s studio in Frogtown. We’ll depart from the Bike Oven (3706 N. Figueroa Street, Los Angeles, CA 90065) at around 5:30 p.m. and ride to Paul Redmond’s Studio (1839 Blake Ave. #6, Los Angeles CA 90039).

We’re heading to Frogtown to take part in the annual Frogtown Artwalk and to get revved up for the Midnight RidazzBig Ass Summer Ride” happening later in the evening in North Hollywood.

The Frogtown Artwalk is an once a year event. Two dozen art studios open their doors and their imagination to the public. The art varies from flame throwing robots, to conceptual art, to photography, to architecture. There is more information at the Frogtown Artwalk’s site: http://www.frogtownarts.com

Frogtown is located between Fletcher and Figueroa, on the west bank of the LA River. It’s also known as Elysian Valley. All the studios are in the same five block area and it’s easy to walk from one to another. Yes - they are so close it’s not even worth locking/unlocking your bike.

Frogtown photographer Paul Redmond is opening up his studio to bicyclists. The studio will be a hub of activity for anyone on two wheels. He is going to have his studio set up to take photos of cyclists and their bikes. There will be lots of art, design, music and events happening in the area all night as well.
