The fun never stops at the Bike Oven! We’re having a management meeting on Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at 7 p.m.
We’re working on all sorts of things as a group right now: rebuilding bikes, selling rebuilt bikes, stocking our shop, hosting art shows, giving away bikes to kids, and a bunch of other stuff too.
If you’re interested in seeing how things at the Bike Oven run, you’re welcome to join us. We’re collectively run - and we try to get everyone’s assent to a decision about managing the shop. It can be slow going, but since we’re all volunteers with no clear hierarchy it’s the best way we’ve found to get things done.
I had a good time last night working out some of the kinks in our shop operation. We\’re lucky that good ideas flow so easily from our group.
The hardest thing to do sometimes is choose the right good idea, and carry it through.
The pizza was pretty good too!
