I put out a call on MidnightRidazz.com a few days ago asking for some help: we need a logo, design, or insignia that we can put on t-shirts, our web-site, stickers, membership cards, and that I can get tatooed on my back.
The original request for some help with the logo yielded some very positive results! Someone came up with a very sharp looking homepage design, and we got three potential logos submitted.
The first image we received was a logo by “kevtron”:

Finally, Czara de la Llana created a logo and a website mock-up! First, the logo:

Keep the sight simple and clean….too messy and it gets dated quick….and you’ll have to re-design all over again in a year…
all the graphics are great ..I am a minimalist so I tend to lead more toward Kevtrons submission. Except I would have a nice commuter bike instead of a lean mean time trial machine. Baskets and brooks saddles rock
Hey and what about the “East L.A. Bike Oven” the Bike oven is not in East L.A…. Its in North East L.A.? We gotta respect the neighborhood and its history.
How about just LOS ANGELES Bike Oven in the logo? It is the one and only “Oven” in LA.

Yeah - that whole “East Los Angeles” and “North East Los Angeles” thing is kind of a pain in my butt. I made a mistake two years ago when I thought that most people did not care about the difference between East LA and NELA. We’ll have to put an “N.” somewhere in that logo before the controversy leads to violence and bloodshed.
What about naming it “Estufa de ‘Clettas”
i am biased, so i won’t even comment ^_^ haha. Ok will ask to update the logo submission to read “North East Los Angeles”
i can work on another web site mockup, so at least we have something to pick from
since we’re still working on how to structure the web site/forums/blog, i can continue to play around and see if i can come up with various designs people can vote on.
i will also work on getting the logo updated to read “North East Los Angeles Bike Oven”.. will post tomorrow. dankeschoen.
