We do have a new art show by our own artist volenteer Alex. Plus a crazy I do mean crazy spoke’n art ride. The most highly produced bike ride known to man. It will be weird crazy and unusual and fucken fun, as we go into the underbelly of obscure art in Nela with out touching foot in a single gallery. If it rains its canceled till december but the bands will still be here. We will have really awesome bands at the pigeon and the oven. Here well have Downtown Train. Blues you’ll love and make you dance plus a whole other mess of performances i must keep hush about so come out.

Movie night at Bike Oven this Sunday 23rd. THIS IS IT!!!!! I am giving you a chance to see THEE most disturbing film ever made! I bring to you ‘A Serbian Film’. I expect not to be asked to do movie night after this one, so i’ll go out with a BANG! This movie is banned and i expect 20 percent of yous to walk out. If you know me, you know I can pick ‘em… and DO NOT look up a preview or article that describes this movie!!!!!!! TRUST ME. Let me take you for an AWESSOME move experience!! We will start with DJ Chicken Leather’s wonderful cache of home made doc’s of rides from 7pm to 8pm, then….. its movie time!!!!!!

This month we have Borfo’s costumes he’s worn on rides before with pictures and other relics of costumes that didnt survive the ride. Plus Charles Aguilar new work is up at the Pigeon. So even if you’re tired hop on the gold line get off on heritage square and take the most chill ride out there the spoke’n art ride.We’ve become an amusement park of rides with three rides to choosee from the fast ride will probably hit up every single gallery. The middle speed is josephwith the bakviet so that is the pretty slow one. Then there is dfl with chicken and veronica anfd the artist and trenway but this month borfo wil give us a crazy art wild ride so dont miss out. Possibly entertaimment wait for finals on that.

Bike Movie this Sunday the 25th at 7pm. I am hosting for Veronica’s Bday. Tentative is a Fucken great film from Spain that was released last year called ‘The Last Circus’. This movie has some awesome extreme scenes. A boy whose father was a famous ‘happy clown’ during the time of WWII is told by him that he can never be the ‘happy clown’ too much tradgedy has marked his life from the begining and he can only become the ‘sad clown’ 20 yrs later he finds a circus to join and we watch him go through so much krazy shit and HIS FINAL TRANSFORMATION TO PERMANENT ‘SAD CLOWN’ oh will your jaws drop to the floor!!!!!!!!
Now I am usually stuck in the movie theater when the bff comes in but dang nag it he booked it on the spoke’n art weekend!!! None the less for those so broke its no joke and willing to have a good time in the best art gallery ride in the city come with us for the night. Sunday aug 28 at 6pm fluxbikes performs, they are on a bike trip from who knows where but we love them because they make beautiful music with their bikes. Come and experience the most unique show you’ll see besides funderstorm. Hell funderstorm is welcome to come play anytime too.

This month we have the art of Andrew huitink. It’s a complete suprise to me cuz aktive booked it so the art is so secret I cant even put a picture up. No bands that I know of just a simple ride through the nela art galleries. come with a bike& lights. Please do not come to the oven at 6 or 6:30 asking us to fix something c’mon, it’s rude. We do this bike ride for fun don’t make us hate it before it begins. We have a slow ride and fast ride so dont worry you really really wont get left behind.

Medium: Paintings, sculptures, painting on random objects, (glass, wood, etc.) Hand made prints, (free) handmade stickers, I will probably be hand printing about 10 or so t-shirts to hand out for free, To get one you have to either beat me to the gallery or be lucky.
Im hoping to have a bunch of different pieces so the show isnt just bland paintings and whatnot, i love painting on different objects besides just canvases, hopefully ill have at least 20 pieces total, different sizes, objects, and all that
This month we have 2 walls 2 artist. The bike oven has ‘Rifles and Bibles’ by Charles Aguilar, collage work. In the Flying Pigeon we have the show called ‘Ofelia’ by Jacqueline Vitela, paintings and drawings. We do have kiddie bikes to race so be scared, very scared. I don’t think we can out do last months burning of three pinatas, will we ever out do that! Never. Tearing down fences, out of control and back to old times. This month definitely good stuff waiting at the Oven Charles will delight you with his ukele and malo lado mateo facebooked everyone but us, that he’s playing, i mean i did ask him but so unexpected, it’s all around crazy times at the oven. oh yeah did i mention we go thru a pleathera of art galleries deep in the heart of north east la. There is a slow ride and a fast ride so you’ll fit in somewhere don’t you worry
