Biking and brewing your own beer will get you out of this recession and we’ll show you how. Similar to speakesies with prohibition a lot of people made a lot of money. Every month we’ll try a different recipe and have a different master brewer to show you how and eventually you’ll get the hang of it. Why get arrested while stopping at a liquor store carry your own brew for a fraction of the cost.

The artist featured this month is Cecilia Marmol. We are going back to painting. She paints scenery and scene and recently was about to show at MOCA but they backed out for lack of funds but we won out because now we get to show her work before she becomes world famous. The party and reception is at 10pm when we get back from the art ride and on until 12to 1ish. Pinata and kiddie bikes and black bean enchiladas.

ART SHOW DROP OFF FRIDAY DEC 12 3-7pm
Hey you know everyone is so broke for xmas that our show is minimally ghetto, submit pictures of bikes you’ve lit up or take some lights and put them on a bike you dont ride and hang that shit up, it’s our cheap tree but it’s a bike. yes I’m making no sense but bring art even if you dont think it’s art we all have to look at something saturday night and I feel curating is above us. C’mon let’s build an art bike community bike co-op like the legendary bikas. If you dont know what that is look it up, it will inspire you, drop off is Friday If anything I’m daring all those burning man people that dont believe in making art in the city for the city.
SPOKEN ART RIDE
yes it’s still going on. Meet at the flagpole at York and Figueroa at 6:30pm leave at 7pm. Don’t think Joseph doesn’t love you, he makes a different route everytime you get the best art in Highland park and I think the city. Kick out the good artist from downtown and where do they go, yup Highland Park. It does have theme “light up my Bike” so light it up any way you can.
AFTER PARTY AT OVEN AT 10pm ish
Okay so we’ll have doughnuts and something hot coffee or hot coco. It’s on, Kiddie bike races. Burning Pinatas and this time it’s going to be a child size pinata(like 12 year old) Bike toss was a success and whatever else you think of that we can get away with(downhill kidie bikes, please) just dont hurt Tomatoes. No real tomatoes were hurt at the last bike toss.

This month’s Spoke(n) Art Ride is being developed (the ride will be a neat-o tour of art galleries but the art show at the end is being produced right now).
We’ll have more information about the whole shebang posted here, on bikeboom and on MidnightRidazz.com when we’ve settled on the details.

The Spoke(n) Art bicycle ride is a free, once-a-month, bicycle tour of art galleries in North East Los Angeles.
The ride takes place on the second Saturday of each month - a special night in North East Los Angeles. Area art galleries open their doors late into the night as part of NELAart’s “Gallery Night”.
This month’s Spoke(n) Art Ride will feature the work of Stephen Roullier, aka mr.rollers - a member of the Midnight Ridazz bicycling community, and one of its most prolific and best photo documenters.
You can see more of mr.rollers photography online, on his Flickr profile page. Or visit mr.rollers gallery contributions at MidnightRidazz.com
