Brew cycle is coming to fruition Sunday jan 17 Brew and bottle early 11am /Breakfast Brew

threekegsWe’ll try hard to really do this. Next beer we want to do is a honey beer but a dark one for the winter time. Well bottle up the indian brown ale. This new year has got me up late at night with no sleep trying to craft something new but exciting. To add ginger or not is the question. So we’ll have some breakfast eggs toast sausages and strong as coffe. Last sunday was slow so maybe we could do it into shop time but 11 gives us time to work a few hours before shop opens and do something after the coaster brake race. Plus chiken leather cant miss his golden globe awards. who knows it may all crumble and take place later or monday night but i’ll give you a heads up if that happens. For now lets set this up just for this week. we are comming on to a brew cycle schedules of 10 to 12 days of constant brew. The beauty of the brewing cycle is that you pretty much drink and relax while you brew fucken sweet. Though I do admit I dont drink but I love to make things and it’s along the same lines as cooking and baking , the chemistry thing is similar. We can reach a pinnacle slowly where we just keep getting better and better and you can learn and you can start brewing here with our supplies if your into it. The big plan is to get a brew collective rolling. That’s the big picture but you can come for the pieces, it doesnt matter. Brewing just bring people together in a better more friendlier way than a bar.

2nd The ride begins at the flagpole, York and Figueroa, at 7pm. Bring lights and blinkies and friends and get ready to explore the NELA art galleries as they are all open just for us.

Bikable LA is wide open, bring stuff you are working on related to making this city bikable because we have a long way to go and we need to get really creative at this point, but lets do it–we have nothing better to wish for for the holidays.

Kiddie bike races, burning pinatas, homebrew and some sort of nomnom truck of some sort. The Flying Pigeon is hosting a few sprint races, we’re going to close off the parking on the street for this to happen and he’s got prizes.

It’s cold but the Oven is warm.  See ya there

Bicycle Street Racks

This message came to us from Rick Marquez, 90042 bike enthusiast:

Hello 90042 bike enthusiast,

On Thursday, Dec. 3rd, the Historic Highland Park Neighborhood Council will be deciding, whether or not, to support green transportation. The HHPNC Land Use Committee has proposed, to CD1 and CD14, bicycle street racks on both York Blvd. and Figueroa (see attached).

*Motion: If needed, $2000 for bike street racks at Ave. 50 and York Blvd. (CD 14 is still working on approval from L.A. Department of Transportation.) (David Baird)

Please pass this message on and join other bike enthusiast at this meeting. Lets show support for alternative green transportation in Highland Park.
