Wow! I can’t believe you guys picked this up on FGG. There is a before shot on there but no “during” pictures when I was taking apart everything. Thanks again for all the help!

I wish we had some before-pictures. I was there and helped Johnny the first day he brought the bike in. He spent most of the first day disassembling it, cleaning it up, and figuring out what he needed to create his dream bike. He then came back with the new parts and built it up. He mostly did it on his own, with only a bit of help from us.

If anybody is generous and has a truck there is a guy on Craigslist selling off a whole yard of bikes in the valley. Someone should go and buy some and donate them to the ‘Bike Oven’. He’s selling piles of bikes for $5.00 and wheels for a buck. I would, but I don’t have anyway to transport them Here is a link to the post.

[…] One of my favorite NELA-based orginizations, C.I.C.L.E. is putting on a fantastic series of Bike Week events this week in Pasadena. Rides, tours, give-aways, and more can be had all week long in Pasadena. In Silverlake on Thursday, Los Angeles Bicycle Coalition is hosting breakfast at Site LA, located at 2522 Sunset Blvd, from 6AM -10AM, followed by a ride to work! (yay!) Lucky you. There’s also the 5 annual, Blessing of The Bicycles, at Good Samaritan hospital on Wilshire at 8AM (Free breakfast, free blessing, free photo-op with former mayor Richard Riordan.)
