A friend Chris Carlsson wrote an interesting article that some of you might find interesting about bicycle culture. Chris is one of the founders of Critical mass and as is writer and editor up in the bay area. Some of you might know him from his work in editing, "Critical Mass: Bicycling's Defiant Celebration". I am interested in coming up with good ride ideas, and doing them. -
One fault I feel the author committed: he never really addressed where the money comes from to pay the rent for these various bicycle cooperatives.
It is based on "donations" in most parts of the country. It's like church, with tithing. Really, doesn't that say something about what bicycle culture is all about?
