I picked up 20 700x25 presta valve tubes today at Price Point so we are back in stock. These are the average stem length so will NOT work on deep "V" rims.(about 35mm vs 50+ needed for deep "V"'s Price Point as of now is cheaper than Achieva on these tubes $2.16 each.
All tube still sell for $5. Some are pre-priced at different prices. Regardless, they are all still to be sold for $5 for any new tube.
The glass case was getting kind of full and the new arrangement seemed comfusing to me. Anyway there are now a bunch of 26,27 and 700 tubes on one of the shelves by the printer. I left the glass case alone. These are generally the most common sizes and there now at least 20 of each on the shelf behind the printer
I am getting ready to order a few miscellaneous items for the shop. On the list so far: - cartridge bottom brackets - replacement spindles - cotter pins - misc cantilever brake springs (if I can find them)
I think it would be great if we got some graded ball bearings, 3/16 & 1/4 mainly (if we got a $12 bottle of 1000 3/16 grade 200, that would be enough for 50 front wheels)
Bunch of Quick Release springs
Did you mean BB splines??? Which sizes? The 107?
I noticed we have no 9mm used cones that fit the smaller front Quick Release shimano axels, Should we carry replacement axle sets?
I personally would like 1/4'' Chromium Bearings, Grade 25, Bag/100, 3/16'' Chromium Bearings, Grade 25, Bag/100
Also I sent a supplies list excel sheet to info@bikeoven, please look it over and add as you see fit.
We have received new cartridge bottom brackets. They are in a box in the corner behind the counter. We have 68x116 and 73x121. FYI
We have the following on the way - F & R cable hangers - 9.5 cotter pins - some misc BB spindles - Misc metric bolt set - 27" tires - 26" rim strips - ulocks - grade 300 bearings for shop use - 26 x 1-3/8 (S6 - Schwinn) tires, maybe
There is a guy in La Puente selling off stock from a closed bike shop. Steve and I purchased the following items yesterday. There is still a lot of stuff out there that they are selling for less than 50% of retail. Mostly Mtn and BMX, but there are replacement wheels, small parts, clothes, helmets, socks, lots of spokes. The contact is Tom (626) 814-7614 if anyone wants to go out there to take a look.
