5) Computer stuff - mailing lists, on-line calendar, contact lists , Bike Oven forum use and access. General discussion about making these more accessible.
Josef, Matt, Colleen and Stacie will work on these.
6)? Open this weekend - fourth of July? - Limited staff available due to the holiday weekend but may be a big demand because of the Holiday. Plan as of now will be to Open Saturday and close Sunday. We may try to tempt added volunteer participation by having a BBQ late afternoon ending early enough to take in any fireworks shows...
See Harv - shop manager for Saturday..
7) Key Holder status was reviewed and Agreed that Josef will discuss with individual(s) where status may be revised.
8) Volunteers working on own bikes - Veronica clarified the existing policy on Monday Night and it worked out well. Volunteering means you help out the Oven first and work on your own bike AFTER helping the Oven out in some way. The daily shift manager and others should take the lead in setting the environment: We have a "to do list" -help the Oven out and work on something on the list First - then you can work on your own bike(s) if space and time permit.
Also some Volunteers have been coming in on regular nights( other than Mondays and Wednesdays) to work on their own bikes. The policy should be enforced that on regular nights , volunteering means helping other people with their bikes (NOT your own) This also does not mean working on your friends bikes for free. Friends who are not already volunteers should sign in and pay like everyone else, OR show up and do volunteer work on Mondays and Wednesdays, then be able to work on their own bikes After.....but only on Mondays and Wednesdays
Will to implement this tonight - new shop manager on Thursdays anyway - we'll see how it goes......
